We went to the ULC and signed out/listed a nonfiction book for this unit of study. 

Ms. Love shared :

EN 12 Book Recommendations

1 mark: Title of recommended book.

1 mark: Author’s name and ISBN of recommended book.

2 marks: Brief summary of recommended book.

3 marks: Description of how the recommended book THEMATICALLY links to the book you’re reading in class.

·      End date for reading is May 13th

April 16:·      In-class Synthesis essay test.

April 18: Counsellor coming (verification forms)

                Reading your books!

April 24^th:

·      Reading -log homework check

·      Fill in class chart re: topic

·      Book share small group by logical topic groupings (be ready to express why you are in a particular group. (no more than 5 to a group.) Discuss points of intersection  and non-intersection of ideas and attitudes and foci.

April 26^th:

·       Reading-log homework check 

·      Meet with someone who is reading a book that is very different in idea/attitude/area of focus. (Discuss provided questions)

·      Paragraph in class (Quiz) based on discussion (see board)

·      Reading time

·      (longer weekend) Complete Questions 5-7 (quiz weight) Due May1.
